M9  &  B64

M9 is a globular cluster in Ophiuchus lying atop of a dense and extensive dust cloud (Barnard 64).

One of the nearer globular clusters to the centre of the Milky Way and 25,000 light year distance

from  Earth.

F.O.V.  44 x 44 min. of arc.

Telescope.   10 Inch F4.0 Newtonian.

Camera.   S Big ST4000 XCM OSC CCD.

Exposure and Date.   15 x 600 sec.   Aug 2018.
