NGC 2014-20-40. (LMC)

NGC 2032 _Panorama2

NGC 2014 (top left) is an emission nebula mostly of Hydrogen gas containing a cluster of young hot stars almost hidden in the nebulosity.

NGC 2020 is the blue round bubble shaped nebula (right of NGC 2014). A single very hot bright new born star seems to have created this cavity. The blue colour of this nebula comes from the radiation of that star in the form of ionized oxygen , this time instead of hydrogen.

NGC 2040 (bottom right) is an OB association of very bright, high mass young stars in a large nebula of partially ionised hydrogen gas that lies in a super giant shell of gas called LMC 4.
