IC 4765 (ACO S805)

IC 4765

A distant cluster of faint galaxies (ACO S805) in Pavo at about 220 MLY distance with the largest and brightest elliptical at the centre (IC 4765) and the gravitationally dominate cluster member.

IC 4769 is the slight S shaped spiral. (6 0’clock position)

This cluster is one of many similar galaxy clusters that belong to the gargantuan Pavo – Indus super cluster of galaxies.
