Leo 1

Leo 1 is a dwarf spheroidal galaxy in Leo at a distance of 820,000 light years. It is believed to be the most distance satellite galaxy of the Milky Way.

This galaxy is very faint and difficult to observe as it is only 20 arc minutes from the bright star Regulus which is only 75 light years distance.

The diameter of Leo 1 is approximately 2000 ly across and 15 to 30 million solar masses.
