NGC 1316, 1317.

NGC 1316 is also known as Fornax A, it is a lenticular galaxy 60 MLY distant in Fornax. The outer envelope contains many ripples, loops and arcs. This suggests  that NGC 1316 was built up through the merger of several galaxies in the distant past. Also NGC 1316 appears to be interacting with NGC 1317, a small galaxy.(bottom)

NGC 1310 is the small face-on spiral on the left middle edge.
