NGC 1532

NGC 1532 is an edge on barred spiral galaxy in Eridanus at a distance of 50 MLY.

NGC 1532 is interacting with one of its many dwarf companion galaxies (NGC 1531). These tidal forces have created unusual plumes about the disc of NGC 1532 giving this galaxy a most distorted shape.
