NGC 3521

NGC 3521 is a relatively bright flocculent spiral galaxy in Leo at a distance of 35 MLY. This galaxy seems to be embedded in a gigantic bubble like shells These shells are most likely the tidal debris, stars torn from satellite galaxies that have undergone mergers with NGC 3521 in the distance past.

Telescope. 16 inch F4.5 Newtonian.
