NGC 4536 – 4527

NGC 4536- 4527.

NGC 4536 is an intermediate spiral galaxy in Virgo at a distance of 48 MLY. and showing signs of active star formation.

The dust lanes near the core have formed an unusual and interesting X – shape.

NGC 4527 (bottom left) is also an intermediate spiral in Virgo with an uncertain distance of approx. 50 MLY.
