NGC 4945

NGC 4945 is a bright near edge – on spiral galaxy in Centaurus at a distance of 13 MLY.

NGC 4945 has thick obscuring dust which hides its nucleus from view and gives its yellowish colour.

An interesting elongated galaxy NGC 4945A is hiding behind a brighter star.(top right).
