NGC 5084

NGC 5084 is a lenticular galaxy about 80 MLY distance in Virgo. NGC 5084 is a massive disc galaxy, about 10 times larger than the Milky Way. Nine separate objects have been identified as satellite galaxies of NGC 5084.

Along with its edge-on appearance this galaxy has also the appearance of an edge on propeller with its ends slightly warped, up on one end and down on the other.
