NGC 5643.

NGC 5643 is a spiral galaxy in Lupus with an active galactic nucleus and is a type 11 Seyfert galaxy and is at a distance of about 60 MLY.

NGC 5643 is classed as a grand design spiral galaxy with its 2 well defined symmetric arms.

A supernova discovered on March 10, 2017, is still easily seen,10 weeks later, between the 2 red markers.
