NGC 7252

NGC 7252 is a peculiar galaxy that has come about by the merger of 2 galaxies. This merger has left long faint arcs of material around the galaxy. There are several interesting faint background galaxies scattered in the field.

NGC 7252 is at a distance of 220 MLY in Aquarius.

Telescope.  16 Inch F 4.5 Newtonian.

Camera.  S Big ST 4000 XCM OSC CCD.
