NGC 1809 – 1835

NGC 1809 – 1835.

A rather blank section of the LMC where hot blue stars dominate the bottom section of this image.

Several open star clusters are scattered across the field of view.

NGC 1835 (middle right) is one of the brightest globular clusters in the LMC.

What is unusual in this image is NGC 1809 (top left corner) . A faint and much more distant elongated galaxy shining through the very heavy star field of the LMC.
