NGC 3372 (The Eta Carina Nebula)

This nebula is one of the largest diffuse nebula in the sky at a distance of about 6500 light years  in Carina. NGC 3372 contains O, B, stars  and star cluster Trumpler 14,  one of the youngest known star clusters at half a million years old and contains WR 25, currently the most luminous star known in the Milky Way. The star Eta Carinae is a luminous hyper giant star, one of the largest and brightest stars in the Milky Way.

This field of view is only a small part of a huge complex nebula.

F O V. is 25 x 25 min. of arc.

Telescope.  16 Inch F 4.5 Newtonian.

Camera.  S Big ST 4000 XCM OSC CCD.

Exposure and Date.  12 x 900 sec.   Feb 2017.
