NGC 3576 – 3603

NGC 3576 (Statue of Liberty Nebula) is a complex area of star formation that has contributed to 2 huge curved filaments of nebulosity and is in the constellation of Carina at a distance of 9000 light years.

NGC 3603 is also another area of active star formation but at a much further distance of 20,000 light years. NGC 3603 has the destination of being the most massive H11 region in the Milky Way.

A small distant open cluster and a dark nebula adds to this most beautiful area in Carina.
